The oil and social collapse marks Christmas in Venezuela.

Christmas in Venezuela comes marked by a wave of protests caused by the shortage of food and fuel for public transport. Clearly the country is immersed in its own chaotic version of the Cuban Special Period. The cause lies in the chronic lack of foreign currency that the fall in oil production is aggravating.
